Who the hell are you?
My name is Thom. If you really want to know about me personally, I’d suggest checking out my blog THOMnottom.com.
So, you needed another blog?
Well, that one focuses on my real life and totally random crap. I have no interest in trying to make it cohesive. The purpose of starting another blog was to give me a place to write specifically about music.
What’s the point of another music blog? Can’t I get new release and concert info from a thousand other places?
That’s not what this site is about. You could call this more of a musical journey. I’m rather obsessive about music and, partly to make sure I don’t drive my wife insane, I’d like to share my thoughts about it with other people. I have no intention of creating a site that people will come to in order to find the latest hipster bands or secret gig info. Instead, you’ll find me talking about my own concert experiences (past and present), albums and bands that I adore, and general discussions on styles of music.
Put it this way, you’re just as likely to find me write a post on Moby’s classic 1995 album Everything is Wrong as on the highly anticipated Heretic Pride to be released by The Mountain Goats next week (note to self: I should change the album mentioned here on a regular basis).
And why should I care what you have to say?
Honestly? I have no idea why. But maybe it’ll get you to think about what you’re listening to or what you will be listening to.
Is this the end of the fake questions?
For now…
